a2 · front page feature · the season
Iced filter season arrives in Ooltewah.
“July in Tennessee asks one thing of a coffeehouse: put it over ice, and do not rush it.”
notes from the counter, summer edition
When the square warms up, the brew bar changes its posture. The same single origin we pour hot all winter is brewed strong, chilled fast and served clear over ice, so the cup stays bright instead of watered down. Cold brew steeps overnight in the back room, and the matcha drinks its milk cold.
The kitchen follows the weather too. Crepes lean toward lemon and fresh strawberries, the pastry case favors lighter mornings, and the patio tables at Cambridge Square do the rest. Ask at the counter for whatever the season is pouring this week, then take the slow seat by the window. The paper is complimentary.
a4 · from the roaster
The house blend, taken home.
The same coffee we brew at the bar, in a 12 ounce bag of whole beans. Notes of milk chocolate, brown sugar and soft citrus. Roasted for the daily pour, and we will grind it for your brewer if you ask.
the nameplate
Lowercase, always.
One wordmark, one pour over, one thin diagonal. It runs on everything we print, pour and pack.
