Orange & Mint Iced Tea · 5.25
Hear ye: for the warm months, the house sets aside the kettle at noon and draws its tea long over ice. Cold steeped black tea, sweet orange cut thick, and mint pinched fresh from the window box, served in a tall glass with due solemnity. Bright, honest, and gone by autumn.
The Menu
Set down in four chapters and read best from a corner table. The kitchen amends this bill with the seasons.
Chapter I
Double espresso softened with an equal measure of steamed milk.
Single origin, weighed and brewed by hand at the counter.
Ceremonial grade, whisked to a fine crown, hot or over ice.
The classic thirds, finished with a dusting of cocoa on request.
The House Blend, kept hot and honest. One kind refill.
Chapter II
Laminated over two days. Shatters properly, as it must.
Two batons of dark chocolate in full ceremonial dress.
Croissant dough rolled with orange sugar and cinnamon.
Cream scone, heavy with fruit, glazed with lemon.
Chapter III
The old way. Folded thin, dressed sharp, no further argument.
Macerated berries, chantilly, and a pass of dark chocolate.
Buckwheat galette, city ham, alpine cheese, soft folded egg.
Wilted greens, brined feta, cracked pepper, brown butter.
Chapter IV
Toasted sesame, whipped ricotta, prosciutto, hot honey. The house favorite, by common consent.
Cured salmon, capers, shaved red onion, dill schmear.
Folded egg and sharp cheddar on a toasted plain bagel.
Boiled and baked each morning. Cream cheese, plentiful.
Prices set in good faith and subject to the seasons. Ask the counter what the kitchen is proudest of today.

Beans chosen with patience and roasted in small batches on the premises.
Assurance II
Ground to order and never before, so nothing is surrendered to the air.
Assurance III
Pulled and poured with ceremony, served hot and entirely without hurry.
Under the House Mark
Twelve ounces of whole bean, roasted at Cambridge Square and sealed by hand beneath the house mark. Toasted almond, dark cocoa, and a quiet note of orchard fruit. Suited equally to the pour over, the press, and the resolutely ordinary kitchen machine.
Attendance Is Encouraged
Walk in. The kettle is already on.

Urns, pastry towers, and steady hands for gatherings large and small, attended in seven cities of the region.
